Marika Hjert-Bernardi

Design Engineer

Marika, our resident Italian and cultural ambassador, grew up in Rome, Italy and moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. While working on her degree in Civil Engineering, she worked with the UW Capital Projects during the construction of the law building and bioengineering building. At the same time she was interning for Perbix-Bykonen, where she now has been defying gravity for over five years. She is a design engineer able to juggle various building material types, and projects that range from residential to larger commercial buildings.
